Office Hours and Directions to IES Office

UMBC is open but the physical campus is closed. We are no longer holding in person walk in hours, but all advisors are working remotely and ready to help! Please email us at with any questions. Check our COVID-19 Information page for updates  on COVID-19 related information for international students. We will also be hosting International Student Town Halls for students to ask the IES staff any questions – invitations will be sent via email!

The IES Office is open 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

However, staff members are not always available during that time so please use the following options to contact an International Student Advisor.

If you’re an international student and you need to contact an international student advisor, you have several options!

1.) Visit the IES Office during Walk-In Hours, Monday-Thursday, 1pm – 4pm
2.) Call (410)-455-2624
3.) Email with your question or to schedule an appointment
